The New Ipod Nano

what's the point of blogging about it?

obviously, i'm an apple fan =)

Apple, I'm Not worthy!!! Part 4

iphone also got a price cut. from 599, the 8gb model is now retailing for 399.

Apple, I'm Not worthy!!! Part 3

notice how the new ipod touch looks like the iphone..minus the phone and the camera.
heck, it even has wifi! oh and it supports youtube.

plus the new ipod touch incorporates coverflow. another eye-candy!

Apple, I'm Not worthy!!! Part 2

more pics...that's the new ipod nano to the left. the ipod classic is the one next to it; and that's the ipod touch below.

from macuser:
the new ipod classic version sports a design that's largely inspired by the iPhone: silver and black. They're even thinner than the current iPods, and they start off with 80GB and 160GB of storage: that means the high end puts 40,000 songs in your pocket. Apple's quoting 30 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback for the 80GB, and 40 hours of audio and 7 hours of video for the 160GB, meaning a lot of that room must be going to battery. They'll cost $249 and $349 respectively.

Apple, I'm Not worthy!!! Part 1

ok, i have a fascination with gadgets.
it's actually more an obsession.

i remember when I was younger, my parents would feed this interest by giving me things to tinker and play with. there was that portable TV that amazed me since it allowed me to watch TV almost anywhere; that mini microscope i always kept in my pocket just in case i needed to examine something more closely; that environmental scientist kit that provided me with tools to measure acidity/alkalinity, gas concentration, etc; the sunglasses with those knight rider lights; the original rollerblade which was the cause of many cuts and bruises; the countless 3-in-1, 4-in1, 5-in-1 gadgets; the swiss knife with all those ultra cool tools....

anyway, after rationalizing this fascination (this is really the main point of this entry) apple just released updates to the ipod. (ipod classic, ipod nano, ipod shuffle, ipod TOUCH)check the pics!

drooling again.

btw, notice how the nano has shrunk in size. with the smaller size, comes a bigger 2" screen. it can even do video now!

rediscovering flapole sitta

how could i ever miss listening to this in my itunes library?!
gotta max the play count!! (it's in my multiply playlist, btw)

Flagpole Sitta

I had visions, I was in them,
I was looking into the mirror
To see a little bit clearer
The rottenness and evil in me

Fingertips have memories,
Mine can't forget the curves of your body
And when I feel a bit naughty
I run it up the flagpole and see who salutes
(But no one ever does)

I'm not sick, but I'm not well
and I'm so hot 'cause I'm in hell

Been around the world and found
That only stupid people are breeding
The cretins cloning and feeding
And I don't even own a TV

Put me in the hospital for nerves
And then they had to commit me
You told them all I was crazy
They cut off my legs now I'm an amputee, Goddamn you

I'm not sick, but I'm not well
And I'm so hot cause I'm in hell
I'm not sick, but I'm not well
And it's a sin, to live so well

I wanna publish 'zines
And rage against machines
I wanna pierce my tongue
It doesn't hurt, it feels fine
The trivial sublime
I'd like to turn off time
And kill my mind
You kill my mind
Mind...

Paranoia, paranoia
Everybody's comin' to get me
Just say you never met me
I'm runnin' underground with the moles
Diggin' holes
Hear the voices in my head
I swear to God it sounds like they're snoring
But if you're bored then you're boring
The agony and the irony, they're killing me, whoa!

I'm not sick, but I'm not well
And I'm so hot cause I'm in hell
I'm not sick, but I'm not well
And it's a sin to live this well

(One, two, three, four!)

Proud Kuya

despite her moodiness and quirks, my sister has been one of my inspirations. i feel proud to be her kuya. i've never really experienced my own graduation but i've vicariously felt the joy through my sister. the first time was when she finished as valedictorian of her college batch at Assumption San Lorenzo. The second time was her recent graduation from Johns Hopkins (That's my sister--4th one from the left). She has achieved the kind of academic success which I keep dreaming about (i don't possess the same EQ as her. hehe). Her achievements attest to how perseverance, discipline, and sustained hard work pay off in the end.

dad, mom, and i are all proud of her! =)
